Grammar Skills: Group Screening and Support Approaches for Kindergarten and Early Primary School
Project Description: This project is part of the collaborative initiative "Hand in Hand to Success: Developmentally Sensitive Support for Children with Different Learning Prerequisites in Math, Reading, and Spelling – A Biopsychosocial Model for Inclusive Education and Cooperative Support." It is also part of the "Educational Innovation Requires Educational Research" initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the Federal Ministry of Education (BMB). The project is conducted in cooperation with the Paris Lodron University Salzburg and the University College of Teacher Education Salzburg.
The aim is the early identification of receptive grammatical difficulties in kindergarten and the early years of primary school through the validation of the GraF GruS group screening tool, which has been under development since 2023, as well as the development of an evidence-based, practice-oriented support concept that systematically links diagnostics, professional training, and educational intervention.
