BESK language support materials

Design and development of language support materials in line with the BESK

Project description: In cooperation with the Province of Styria, four language support books (covering the linguistic areas of vocabulary reception, vocabulary production, syntax and storytelling) as well as accompanying workbooks for early years educators are being developed. The materials focus on supporting those language skills that can be systematically observed and documented by early years educators using the BESK (Observation Sheet for Assessing Language Competence). In this way, the support materials help early years educators to respond specifically to children’s language skills and to implement language support in individual or group settings.
